About Us

The Imaging Depot, Ogden Utah

Although we have lots of new ideas about photography and imaging, our heritage in the industry is just as rich as the historic building we call home on Historic 25th street.

The Imaging Depot was founded by the Father and Son team of Ron and Mat Inkley. If the names sound familiar, it's because they have been involved in the photo and imaging industry for decades and have received national recognition for their innovative ideas in photofinishing and large format printing.

Ron, Mat and the rest of the Imaging Experts at The Depot are ready to help you convert your images and ideas into something amazing.

Heavily influenced by his father, Ron, who was a successful business leader, Mat Inkley developed an interest in the photo/imaging business as a child. I wondered what happened to the Inkleys after they sold their place in Salt Lake City. Well, I found them in Ogden at their new business location, called The Imaging Depot at 2501 Grant Avenue. They bought and renovated the old bus depot, and this business is a beauty.

They have taken their decades of knowledge and experience in the photo industry and have morphed it into a 21st century imaging business. They'll tell you "it's not your father's business," especially in the photo or imaging industry. They can do anything with an image including scale it into huge building wraps and window graphics like we saw during the Salt Lake City Olympics.

Mat Inkley, president of The Imaging Depot, told me about a photo of Ogden Valley with snow-covered peaks that he and his team blew up into a 33 by 6 foot wall wrap. Ron said it's a big wow factor, and he was right. I couldn't believe the stunning dynamics of this project. This is part of the skill and experience Mat brings to the table. If that isn't enough, the retail side of the business is impressive. They're one of the largest specialty photo retailers in the state with Utah's most extensive selection of camera batteries.

The Imaging Depot is located on 25th street in Ogden, which is growing and developing. Some major players in the outdoor industry have discovered Ogden's business-friendly climate, and this place is on a roll. Forbes Magazine recently ranked Ogden as one of the Best Places for Careers and Business.

When you have the opportunity to visit The Imaging Depot, you get the feeling of a family business that's taken it up a notch. They offer affordable photo classes on anything from camera operation to lighting, studio and flash photography. For more information, check them out at www.theimagingdepot.com.
